About Refuge Ministries
-
Refuge Ministries exists to help women recover from drug and alcohol addiction and heal from trauma through a safe, Christ-centered community where they can find freedom, healing, stability, and hope in Jesus Christ.
-
Our vision is to see women transformed by the restoring power of Jesus Christ—free from addiction, rooted in faith, connected to healthy community, and equipped to live stable, productive, purpose-filled lives. Refuge Ministries seeks to help each woman rebuild her life spiritually, emotionally, and practically so that she can move from survival into lasting restoration and healthy independence.

CHRIST-CENTERED
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1Everything we do is rooted in Jesus Christ. We believe true freedom, healing, and restoration are found through a relationship with Him.
GRACE & COMPASSION
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32We meet women with compassion, dignity, and grace, recognizing that every story is different and every woman deserves to be treated with love and respect.
TRUTH & ACCOUNTABILITY
“Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ.”
Ephesians 4:15We believe growth requires both grace and truth. We encourage honesty, responsibility, healthy boundaries, and accountability in a way that supports lasting change.
COMMUNITY
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10Recovery was never meant to be walked alone. We believe healthy community, connection, and relationships are essential to healing and long-term recovery.
RESTORATION
“I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.”
Joel 2:25We believe God can redeem what addiction and trauma have damaged. Our desire is to see women restored spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and practically.
PURPOSE
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10Every woman has God-given value and purpose. We help women discover their gifts, rebuild confidence, and move forward with direction and hope.
PERSEVERANCE
“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus.”
Hebrews 12:1–2Recovery takes courage, consistency, and perseverance. We encourage women to keep moving forward, even when the journey is difficult, while keeping their eyes fixed on Christ.
Who We Are
Meet the Founders
Casey and Ian met in 2020, both coming out of years marked by addiction, trauma, and brokenness. By the time they met, both had found freedom and new life in Jesus Christ. One of the things that connected them most deeply was their shared desire to serve others and help people discover the same hope and freedom they had found in Christ.
They married in 2021 and blended their families, bringing together six children between them. Over the years, they have watched God restore relationships with their children, heal wounds, and create something beautiful out of what once felt broken. Their family has become a living testimony of God’s grace, restoration, and faithfulness.
Ian serves as the Trade Program Manager for Eyes On Me, Inc., where he invests in young people through practical skills, mentorship, and discipleship. Casey has spent the last six years working as a case manager with women impacted by homelessness, human trafficking, addiction, abuse, and crisis. She is also working toward her LCDC license so she can continue growing in her ability to serve women in recovery.
Very early in Casey’s own recovery, the Lord placed a vision in her heart for a Christ-centered recovery home for women. For years, she carried that vision while continuing to serve, learn, grow, and wait for God’s timing.
Now, that time has come.
Refuge Ministries was born out of that calling: a place where women can find safety, healing, recovery, community, and most importantly, the hope and freedom found in Jesus Christ.here to create work that matters, led by a shared commitment to quality and care.
